Beginning on 10th September, we will attend the orientation week for students at the Baptist Bible College in Moira. Following this week we will be given a series of lectures which will better equip us for the work we will do when we arrive in Peru. During this month we will also be travelling around a number of Baptist Churches in order to raise awareness of the team and let people know what we will be involved in. The team, which is comprised of 4 members, with the possibility of an additional 2 members, will leave Ireland on 1st October. We will begin our time by spending 4 weeks in language school before travelling to Ite, where we will be involved in the organisation of summer camps for Peruvian young people at the Campsite there. These camps will run from December until February. After this time, each team member will hopefully have sought God’s direction concerning the area of work which they are to be involved in for the remaining time. This may involve working alongside one of the other churches in South Peru or remaining in Ite in order to continue work there.

We are excited about this time but are also aware that we are unable to do it alone. We are grateful to God for placing us in this church and believe that your support is vital to our work in Peru. We would just like to thank you all for the interest you have expressed in this work so far and would just ask that at this time you remember us and the team in your prayers. In particular please pray that our motives would remain pure and that through all we do God would continue to be glorified. We will keep you updated as we continue to work through some final details of our trip! Thank you!
